PARADISE ISLAND is a lovely and exotic small painting, mid to late 20th-century. The dream-like scene features six majestic palms and an idyllic thatched roof hut. From the misty, mountainous background flows a quiet stream which mirrors the tropical foliage and a cloud-dotted sky revealing hints of sunset.
The Frame
The artwork is double framed with a powder blue exterior wood frame accented with charcoal lines and a white interior wood frame. This depth of frame draws the eye inward to the delicately textured acrylic palette-knife technique on board. A subtle technique which brings the artwork to life as you sense the sultry breeze dance through the gently swaying palm fronds. The back features a matching powder-blue, acid-free dust cover paper and coated stainless steel wire.
