Motto – SOME ONE LIKE YOU by J.W.F., circa the 1920s
Someone like you
makes the heart seem the lighter,
Someone like you
makes the sun shine brighter,
Someone like you
makes the sigh half a smile.
Life’s an odd pattern of briars and roses
Clouds sometimes darken, no sun shining through
Then the cloud lifts and the sunlight discloses,
Near to me, dear to me
Some one like YOU.
by J.W.F.
So well said, SOMEONE LIKE YOU expresses the happiness, comfort, and joy felt by one who has lived with their love through the good and bad times life can bring.
The motto is a lithograph with an Art Deco floral design in various shades of beige and brown colors including rust. The frame is a scroll wooden design, gold painted. Both the frame and glass along with the motto are original. The dust-cover backing was replaced many years ago.
