Buzza Motto – “If” for Girls adapted from Kipling by J.P. McEvoy – 1924

IF FOR GIRLS has all the bells and whistles. It is entirely original which includes its frame, glass, dust-cover paper and the much sort after large brass CLOVERLEAF hanger engraved with BUZZA, the publishing house.

The motto itself is a colorfully printed litho. Note its beautiful setting. Note the large urn in the background and peacock accentuating the left side. Urns were in fashion in the early 1900s. They were a staple in glorious gardens of the wealthy. I can imagine FOR GIRLS given to a special teenager. FOR GIRLS’s sentiments would be forever in her thoughts and might just hang in her room no matter where she lives. Possibly you might agree.
